In the year 1991, we started our journey with a vision to become a change-maker in the Engineering arena of Bangladesh.
To make the vision a reality, we have expanded our business from Generators, Transformers and Electrical Equipment sales and services to High-end Engineering solutions, Power Plant overhauling and maintenance, Port Operation Management and Material Handling solutions, Civil & Mechanical Engineering, Jetty, Roads, Embankment constructions and Dredging.
We have also expanded our business to the production of all kinds of Automotive and IPS Batteries, Pharmaceutical-grade Plastic Products, LED lights, Renewable energy solutions & solar home systems sales, services and installation.
We have always prioritized various attributes of growth and innovation in every sector of our business. We have heavily invested in necessary infrastructures to enhance the capabilities of our people. For His continual guidance, we are now a prominent name in the power, material handling and engineering arena of the country. In the year 1991, we started our humble journey with our core company SAIF Powertec Ltd. (SPL) with only six dedicated persons. From the initial days, we are the believers of the precise concept that sacrifice and hardship are the key ingredients to achieve greatness. With strong belief on this motto and dedicated efforts from our employees, we have brought praiseworthy changes in the sectors we are working now.
Our reputation has given us the strength to expand our business from Generators, Transformers, Electrical Equipment sales and services to High-end Engineering solutions, Power Plants overhauling and maintenance services, major Port Operation Management & Material Handling solutions, Civil & Mechanical Engineering, Jetty, Roads and Embankment constructions, Manufacturing of all kinds of Automotive and IPS Batteries, Pharmaceutical-grade Plastic Products and LED lighting solutions.
From the year 2007, we have been maintaining the Port operation and container terminal management of Chittagong Container Terminal. Because of efficient planning, operations management and implementation of modern technology, we have significantly increased the operational capabilities of the ports under our management. Eventually, Chittagong port has improved its ranking in the global port operation ranking list. Our visionary leadership, innovation and experienced workforce have ensured the significant change in this sector. Currently, we are operating in Chittagong Container Terminal (CCT), New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT), Pangaon Inland Container Terminal (PICT) and Kamalapur Inland Container Depot (KICD) with our diverse port operation team.
We have expanded our business to Power Plants overhauling and maintenance. We are the authorized distributor of famous European Generator brand TEKSAN and also offering reliable products from world-famous brands like Doosan and Liebherr for our esteemed clients.
By understanding the growing demand of engineering sector of the country, we have expanded our business to Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Dredging, Marine constructions, Roads & Bridges construction, Embankment and Dam constructions with our another concern, E-engineering Limited, specialized in all types of construction projects.
We have established a Battery production factory under SAIF Power Battery Division in Pubail, Gazipur with a vision to produce all kinds of batteries to meet the growing demand of the market. We are also producing pharmaceutical-grade plastic products for well-known pharma and other companies of the country in our own production facilities in Gazipur. To meet the growing demand of the renewable energy sector, we are providing renewable energy solutions as well as LED Lighting solutions.
We have developed all our facilities and business ventures in a way so that SAIF Power Group can be considered as an innovative and socially responsible company. Ultimately, we dedicate all our efforts to create a prosperous, self-sufficient and beautiful Bangladesh.

Our pioneering port operation management capabilities have ensured record breaking container terminal throughput and highest possible vessel handling activities. After getting the Port operation contract from Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) in the year 2007, we have resolved the age-old container congestion problem at Chittagong Container Terminal by utilizing modern terminal planning technology and employing experienced personnel trained in the international sea ports. Our initial success has given us the strength to expand the port operation management for other three major ports of the country - New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT), Pangaon Inland Container Terminal (PICT) and Kamalapur Inland Container Depot (KICD). Eventually, we have expanded business to heavy engineering solutions, Power Plant overhauling and maintenance, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing of all kinds of Automotive and IPS Batteries, Pharmaceutical-grade Plastic Products and LED lighting solutions.
We are manufacturing all types of batteries, LED Lighting solutions and pharmaceutical-grade plastic products in our own manufacturing plants equipped with cutting-edge technology. We are also providing solar home systems and renewable energy solutions for a greener world. In all of our manufacturing process, we always focus in developing environment-friendly approach to ensure a greener planet.
To meet the growing demand of the civil engineering sector, we have established E-Engineering Limited – a company specialized for all types of Civil & Marine engineering solutions. Currently, we are executing some of the prestigious projects of Bangladesh Government such as Bhashanchar Flood Defense Embankment project, Jetty Construction of Patenga Container Terminal, Bay Terminal Project, Navigability Enhancement project of Karnaphuli river etc.
Bangladesh has been described as an emerging “Asian tiger” in recent years due to its high economic growth and industrialization which bear many similarities to the way the Four Asian Tigers industrialized between the 1960s and 1990s. We believe that our efforts will play a significant role to Bangladesh’s surprising journey to the world arena, as a new economic powerhouse.
